CG Cement plans new plant in Sri Lanka

Nepal’s CG Cement has announced plans to invest US$150m to set up a new plant in Mannar, Sri Lanka. According to Binod Chaudhary, owner of the company, it has already received approval for the project. "I have got the green light from the government and we have already identified several limestone deposits in the province to make cement locally," said Mr Chaudhary. CG Cement place order for vertical roll mill

Chaudhary Group Cement (CGC) has placed an order with Germany-based Loesche for a vertical roller mill at its cement plant in the Palpa region of central Nepal. The order, which was placed through KHD, will see the installation of a 50tph Loesche LM 26.3 D coal mill, scheduled to enter operation by 2018. The new CGC plant has a clinker capacity of 3900tpd. It will extract limestone from a nearby mine.
